ABOUT BELTANE:
.
Beltane, or May Day, is celebrated every year on May 1. It is one of the eight Sabbats and falls halfway between the spring equinox and the coming summer solstice. This day marks the coming summer and is associated with fertility and abundance.
.
Beltane like Samhain is a time when the veil between the two world is thinnest and travel between the worlds can be done with ease. It is a magickal time, in the warmth of the sun the focus for many is on the fae (fairy). We meet spring with open arms and desire to be outside, bare feet on new grass, wind in our hair, inspired by the beauty that surrounds us. It is this desire to return to Nature that originally led to the celebrations of spring. Honor and festivals for the gods and goddess of agriculture were created to ensure rich harvest, fertility, abundance and obtain protection from droughts. AND MORE AS FOUND IN MANUAL
